Chris L. Logan
Chris joined Hovey Williams as a clerk in 2005 while pursuing his law degree. His current work includes preparing and prosecuting patent applications for inventions in the chemical, mechanical, and geophysical arts.
Chris developed an interest in patent law while working as a chemist at Midwest Research Institute in Kansas City. There he initially learned the value of intellectual property rights and the need to have them protected.
As a law student, Chris was a member of the editorial board for the UMKC Law Review. The legal journal published two of his articles during his law school career, including: Comment, Patent Reform 2005: HR 2795 and the Road to Post-Grant Oppositions, 74 UMKC L.
