David M. Pankros
Dave joined Hovey Williams following his graduation from law school in 2008. In his role as associate, he focuses his practice on software and electrical patent prosecution. Specifically, Dave’s work includes the preparation and prosecution of software and electrical inventions. He also has experience investigating the infringement of web-based literary copyrights.
Prior to joining Hovey Williams, Dave spent 8 years in software development and consulting. During that time, he founded and operated two companies in the field. In addition, Dave gained previous legal experience during an internship with Douglas County Legal Aid. There he was responsible for providing pro bono legal services for juveniles and adults, including criminal and domestic relations issues.
Dave’s background as a business owner has influenced him to treat his clients the same way he would have wanted and expected. In particular, he strives to exceed client expectations and maintain open lines of communication. Today, Dave attributes his professional success to his broad knowledge base, tenacity, organization, and attention to detail.
Raised in suburban Chicago, Dave currently resides in Kansas City with his wife and daughter. In his free time, he is an avid scuba diver and is trained at a master level in the areas of search and recovery, and rescue. Dave also enjoys playing tennis.
