Catherine B. Richardson

Katie joined Hovey Williams in 2006. Her legal expertise spans all facets of patent litigation, with a keen focus in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and dietary supplement industries. She has played a leading role in patent litigation proceedings at the district court level, as well as before the Federal Circuit and International Trade Commission.

Having accumulated more than 10 years of experience among some of the Washington, D.C. area’s most respected law firms, Katie’s legal knowledge and expertise have been recognized in various publications and presentations throughout the country. One of her more gratifying achievements in law was winning the Giles S. Rich Patent Moot Court Competition in 1993, where she successfully argued before a panel of judges at the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
