Thomas B. Luebbering
Tom has been part of the Hovey Williams team since 1992. He became a registered patent agent in 1993, a patent attorney in 1994, and was admitted to partnership in 1998. Tom focuses his practice on patent prosecution, licensing, and IP counseling, with a particular emphasis on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the aviation, navigation, optics, and electronic fields.
Prior to joining the firm, Tom served as an engineering consultant for three years at Burns & McDonnell, a Kansas City-based international engineering, architecture, and consulting firm. He began working at Hovey Williams as an intern and patent agent while attending law school.
Outside the office, Tom can often be found courtside or on the sidelines, where he enjoys coaching his kids’ basketball, football, and baseball teams.
