Matthew is responsible for legal research, preparing discovery requests and documents for submission to court, and performing trademark searches. He's often involved with work to prepare for trademark litigation, patent litigation and trademark prosecution. He finds the practice of intellectual property to be the perfect blend of science and law – two of Matthew's greatest passions.

Upon graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, Matthew joined Hovey Williams in the fall of 2007. A recent trip to Boston to assist in a preliminary injunction hearing is one example of Matthew's pursuit of client advocacy in intellectual property litigation.
