Scott specializes in patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright litigation as well as electrical, electronic and software patent prosecution.
After graduating with his engineering degree, Scott pursued his long-standing desire to go to law school. Once he discovered a branch of law where he could continue to use his engineering degree, it was an easy decision to opt for intellectual property law.
In one high profile case, Scott won summary judgment of no patent infringement, which was subsequently upheld before the Federal Circuit. The litigation resulted in a significant change in the law of repair rights of purchasers of patented articles from the patentee.
