Steve has extensive experience in all phases of complex mechanical patent prosecution, expertise in agricultural machinery and significant litigation experience in a variety of mechanical technologies.

Steve first became interested in patent law as a career during high school. Later, while in engineering school, he interviewed Kansas City patent attorney Orville Gold, who encouraged Steve to continue with his plan to become a patent attorney. After being accepted into law school at the University of Missouri – Kansas City, he clerked for Hovey Williams until graduation, when he joined the firm.
