Tracy specializes in foreign and domestic chemical patent preparation and prosecution, biological patent preparation and prosecution, preparing patentability and non-infringement opinions, negotiation and preparation of licensing and development agreements, and trademark application preparation and prosecution.

Tracy was introduced to patent law when she took a course in law school and earned the highest grade in the class. Her professor, a partner in a Des Moines, Iowa, IP firm, encouraged her to get involved in patent law. Following his advice, she took more patent law classes and, upon graduation, she sat for the patent bar and joined Hovey Williams.
