Hovey Williams Partner Named One of the Top Trademark Attorneys by Trademark Insider
Overland Park, KS—Hovey Williams LLP is pleased to announce that Trademark Insider recently recognized Thomas H. Van Hoozer, Partner, as one of the nation’s Top 50 Trademark Attorneys for the fourth quarter of 2009.
The list of the Top 50 Trademark Attorneys was published in Trademark Insider’s 2009 Annual Report. The rankings were determined by the total number of times an individual attorney was listed in the correspondent field of all U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) applications submitted during the fourth quarter of 2009. Van Hoozer was ranked 41st on the list with 47 trademark applications filed. Van Hoozer joined Hovey Williams in 1986. He primarily focuses his practice on mechanical patent prosecution, trademark and copyright registration law, and litigation involving patents, trademarks, and unfair competition. Van Hoozer is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 1978. He is a member of the Missouri Bar Association (MoBar) and has been admitted to the USPTO, Kansas Bar, Missouri Bar, U.S. District Court in the Western District of Missouri, U.S. Court of Military Appeals, and Court of Appeals for the 6th, 8th, 10th, and Federal Circuits.
