As an inventor, you have undoubtedly invested substantial time and resources toward the design, and research and development of your invention. Without the protection of a patent, however, your invention is susceptible to being copied, or even patented, by a competitor. By obtaining a patent, you are excluding the right of others to make, use, offer to sell, sell, or import your invention without first receiving your authorization.
At Hovey Williams, we work with clients to obtain and maintain all types of patents from the initial conception of inventions through patent expiration. - Search literature at the world-renowned Linda Hall Library of Science, Engineering, and Technology in Kansas City
- Perform clearance searches to locate any potential infringement problems that may arise in connection with new products and services
