Since joining Hovey Williams in 2007, Matt's practice has focused principally on intellectual property litigation. Matt has litigated trademark and trade dress matters before various district courts and before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Matt's patent litigation experience involves clients in various technical fields such as medical devices, software systems, fertilizers, agricultural equipment, and rangefinders. Matt also has experience in reexaminations before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Matt joined Hovey Williams in 2007 after earning his law degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where he graduated magna cum laude. Matt received his B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Rolla, where he graduated summa cum laude.
