We are excited to announce that Jaclyn Alcantara rejoined Hovey Williams in October of 2021, a real home coming of sorts, in all the best possible ways. She had previously worked as a patent agent with us for 10 years where she prosecuted patent applications before returning to school full time at UMKC to pursue her law degree. After graduating law school, summa cum laude, in 2019 and passing the Missouri bar exam, she worked as an associate for 2 years at another law firm before rejoining #teamHovey. Jaclyn focuses her practice on intellectual property prosecution and counseling. Her practice additionally includes patent infringement and validity analysis, patentability studies, intellectual property licensing and confidentiality agreements. Jaclyn also holds an electrical engineering degree, with an emphasis in audio engineering, from the University of Miami.
