Best thing about your time at Hovey Williams?
“Learning new things about the field of law I am eager to go into, as well as the people that are willing to teach me those new things.”
What led you to Intellectual Property Law?
“I originally was going to go to medical school, so I got a degree in Molecular Biology. A mentor at my law school saw that I had that degree and pointed me in the direction of intellectual property. I haven’t looked back after that.”
Best advice you’ve received?
“Always go into something viewing it as an opportunity, rather than expecting a particular result. That way if things don’t turn out how you intended, you don’t walk away disappointed, but rather, thankful for another opportunity.”
Favorite thing about KC?
“The people and culture. It is full of kind and loyal people. I’ve always thought it seemed more like a small town, rather than a big city. I have spent my whole life here, so it will always be home and a very special place to me.”
How do you relax? What do you do in your down time?
“I love to read books and watch movies. I also love going on walks with my dog, Kali, who is the light of my life. (:”
What was the last book you read?
“The Silent Patient. My favorite book is “The Kite Runner” by Khalid Hosseini.”
Favorite ice cream flavor?
“Cookies and cream.”
What was your first job?
“I worked at a daycare in my hometown.”
What is your favorite vacation spot? Dream trip?
“My favorite vacation spot would have to be the Bahamas. My dream trip would be going to Greece.”
What’s on your bucket list?
“I love skydiving, I would love to do a solo jump one day.
Go backpacking in Europe.
Go on a mission trip. My faith is very important to me.”
